Skill Pinning
Skills load automatically and can be edited by anything with write access. Pinning makes a change to one visible instead of silent.
A skill file is instructions the agent loads without being asked. Nobody reviews it the second time, which is what makes an edit to one worth catching. Pinning records what a skill looked like when you approved it and notices when it stops matching.
Pinned roots
node9 skill pinManages the roots that are pinned. A root that is not pinned is not watched.
It ships off
Skill pinning is inactive on a fresh install and warns rather than blocks when it is turned on. Both are deliberate: a pin that blocks on first use would stop an agent mid-task over a file the user edited themselves. Turn it on once your skills have settled, and move it to blocking when the warnings have gone quiet.
